Lovely, lovely Annie Renwick is an impossibly talented family photographer based on Dartmoor, Devon. Annie's photos are soulful, beautiful and have an incredible fine art quality to them that exude a sense of whimsy and nostalgia. Unsuprisingly, her distinctive style means that clients quite literally cross the world to work with her, and having recently arrived back on British shores after several years living in Asia, Annie approached Ditto for a fresh new look that'd reflect her artistic vision.
Annie aspires to create timeless, artfully shot photographs of children and families that capture the story of her clients; the time when their little one was obsessed by Karl the Kangaroo or wouldn’t leave the house without their favourite wellies. Through her thoughtful and intuitive direction, along with her innate knack of putting clients at ease, she captures the innocence and uninhibited abandon of childhood that passes by so quickly. And more than that, she does so whilst creating an unforgettable and utterly priceless experience for the whole family, allowing them to take time out and just be, removing all pressure for them to be anything other than just themselves.
Whenever we work on a brand identity for a photographer, it's crucial to make sure that what we piece together reflects and reinforces the natural tone of their work. It has been an utter joy to work with Annie's images; their warmth and personality speaks volumes. We've styled her images with a carefully curated selection of Winnie the Pooh inspired quotes, which add a wonderfully emotive twist to her already stunning phtography, creating something that's incredibly evocative.
The brand we've created for Annie Renwick is very much inspired by nature; earthy tones, natural textures and anything with a sense of organic wonk. The typography is a blend of elegant, timeless serifs and rambling hand lettered scripts for personality. Dan's signature typographic style have met Derek's beautiful hand illustrations to create a brand packed with charm, nostalgia and artfulness.
