You know the sorts of people who just 'get' stuff? The ones who have a wonderful way with words and deliver wisdom in a very clear and common sense way, like it's the most obvious thing in all the world? That's Daphne Henning for you. We've known Daphne for quite some time and it was a real pleasure to work with her to create a brand that's focussed, beautiful and spirited.
Branding a person is always challenging. One guy/girl bands are so much more personally invested - all the more so if they trade off the back of their name. And almost always, these sorts of clients worry about how much of themselves should be in the business - they don't want to overstep the mark but at the same time they need to pour enough character and personality in the brand to make it interesting, engaging and authentic.
Really, it all comes down to one thing: you need to view yourself as a commercial entity - and that's not always easy to do. You need to ask yourself which aspects of your personality and relevant to your clients - which are the elements which hook them in? What is it that they love about how you do things? The great thing about our process is that we turn into somewhat of an objective business ally for our clients, and help them to see things in a way which they wouldn't have the percpective to identify alone.
Anyway, I digress... we're here to look at Daphne's gorgeous new brand so that's what we'll crack on with.
Daphne Henning is a mentor and transformational coach. She has a knack for making the complex appear simple, and for enabling clients to gain clarity and recognise their potential. Her sure, grounded and practical manner is reassuring and encouraging to anyone who might be doubting their abilities.
Daphne's clients are ambitious, gutsy and fizzing with life. Often already successful, they come to her at a time where change is on the horizon – but they’re struggling to get to where they want to be. She help her clients to identify what it is that they really want, and enable them to reach their goal by keeping them on track and giving them the courage that they need to make real changes.
The logo concept is based on the southern star cross. These stars are used for navigation and we love the connotation not only of finding your way, but of the wisdom, sparkle and light associated with stars. The theme of light, energy and spark have been continued throughout the brand with glittery lettering, glimmering backgrounds and images of fireworks.
