eat n mess
Danielle Rumbelow arrived at our briefing session fizzing with energy, full of big ideas and plenty of vision. She also bought cake – we knew we had a good thing going. Danielle launched Eat N Mess three years ago, selling cakes, tray bakes and all sorts of delicious baked goodness at Farmers' markets and foodie markets in London. She had gained a loyal following from people who adore her cakes, and make a special trip to buy their favourite treats from her stall at the trendy London markets. Her existing logo looks too home-made to get her to where she wants to be, and so Danielle approached Ditto ready to take the leap and create a more stylish, grown up and trendy brand design. The goal was to create an identity that conveys the fashionable, foodie vibe that will propel the business towards greater success.
Danielle’s big plan was to transition from chilly farmers markets to her first retail shop, where she’d specialise in making gluten-free taste delicious. Her brand is both energetic and nostalgic with rustic typography contrasting against minimal, contemporary type for great effect.
We created a range of delicious patterns and the hand lettered logo oozes style and elegance.
Danielle has fully embraced the branding that we created for her: the walls are painted in brand colours, her tables are printed with brand patterns (which looks awesome!!) and the vintage styled wooden trays all bear her logo. The icing on the cake, though (sorry, couldn't resist), is the logo above the door, which she's had made up in gold glitter.
Since opening, Danielle’s shop has been jam-packed and she’s earnt her spot as the go-to girl for healthy treats. We pop in regularly and highly recommend you do the same – we strongly recommend you try the brownies.
