Tribe are the most awesome team of talented hairdressers who have such genuine passion for their craft. Currently running a very busy and successful hair salon in Chislehurst, Kent, they have impressive plans for expansion and approached Ditto to create a new look that reflected their ethos and paves the way for the future. Not only did they make the bold move to rebrand but they also changed their name at the same time. I'm so pleased that they have, and I think it'll be one of the best things they've done for their business.
Billy and his team place huge importance on the experience that they deliver, and that was the biggest thing that struck me when I first met them back in late Spring. Completely focussed on the people within the business, they're dedicated to empowering everyone around them and creating an environment where hard work, talent and creativity are rewarded.
The brand for Tribe is edgy, characterful and energetic. With a sense of warmth and exclusivity thanks to the colours and geometric tribal inspired shapes, this certainly feels every inch the premium brand, with a distinctly creative edge. We love the hand lettered secondary logo which brings a sense of energy and expression to the brand, and the broken-ness of this style is followed through with an imperfect page frame, lending character and a sense of the artisinal.
We adore the bold, strong use of colour and the way that the typography plays together: self assured and confident yet also welcoming and approachable. And it really is the little details that makes it: the broken lines, the feather illustrations, the use of accent fonts - it's all very very cool.
