Your brand personality: Winter
We're coming to the end of my colour psychology series - I do hope you've found it interesting! I'd really love to know if any of the seasons have resonated with you. If not, then perhaps you're a Winter personality?
Winter is a tough season in the natural world – it’s the most extreme season of the year and you have to be pretty hardy to last the distance. Sub-zero temperatures, bleak landscapes with strong silhouettes and clear, light colours are key for Winter.
Winter personalities tend to be focussed, driven and ambitious. They’re decisive, self-assured and practical with a huge amount of self discipline – they love to be in control (precision and fine details are very important to them) and achieve their goals. Winter is a season of drama, and so too are Winter businesses fairly dramatic: either very hedonistic or incredibly grounded. Sevenoaks-based mortgage advisors Prospect Financial are a Winter business - their precise, logical, focussed and practical approached is absolutely typical of the traits of a Winter personality.
Winter personalities can sometimes be perceived as uncaring of others – they tend to have a direct and self centred attitude that can be slightly off-putting. They don’t suffer fools gladly – but you’ll always know where you stand with a Winter personality. In business, this tends to be no bad thing!
