Proud to Present: A bright and warm brand identity for Straightforward Advice Mortgage Solutions
If ever there was a person to prove that mortgages don't have to be a drag, it's Sam Harris at Straightforward Advice Mortgage Solutions.
Sam flies in the face of the stuffy grey-suit types who make even the thought of applying for a mortgage an utter bore. Her warmth, charm and charisma - along with her knack of making even the most complicated financial terms seem like a piece of cake and utterly unflappable demeanor - make her a joy to have at your side while going through the overwhelming process of finding a mortgage.
Sam has been in the mortgage industry for years, and decided it was high time to strike out on her own. She knew that she wanted to stand out and look different, and so she appproached Ditto to create a fun, friendly but credible face for her new business.
The season personality
Confident, decisive, top of her game but also warm, friendly and welcoming? This could only be a Winter and Autumn combo! Whilst many financial brands instinctively gravitate towards the clean, minimal style that's consistent with the Winter personality, not many would be brave enough to throw in the vibrancy and energy of Autumn. And that's where colour psychology comes into its own if you're interested in truly creating a stand-out brand
This brand is certainly unexpected for a mortgage advisor! And I love that about it. Warm, colourful, bold and with plenty of personality, the brand also feels confident, strong and thorough. The icons we've created are clean monoline shapes, giving us the thoughtfulness and care of an illustration whilst feeling decisive and on point. Typography is bold and has plenty of clarity, with the added pop of a handwritten script style for energy and approachabilty.
Sam comissioned a photo shoot in preparation for us designing her website, which meant that we've got plenty of gorgeous photos of her to work with - and oh my goodness, they are SO on-brand.
