Hayne House is a beautiful country house wedding venue set in landscaped grounds on a family estate in Saltwood, Hythe. A unique and beautiful venue with heaps of character, it’s relaxed and intimate feel lends to the feeling that the venue is exclusively available to the couple and their guests on their wedding day. With plans on the horizon for a stunning and elegant new orangery and the desire to transition from mid-market to higher end, Fleur and her team recognised that their brand identity was doing little to inspire confidence or convey the quality of what they do, and that’s what they approached Ditto to change.
The team at Hayne House care a great deal about delivering an exceptional, seamless experience to their couples. They want to ensure that their brand portrays their genuine level of attention to detail at every interaction, conjuring up a sense of the spirit of Hayne House before a couple have even spoken to the team or visited the venue themselves.
Hayne House is in a fairly competitive arena with many long-established venues around them. However their venue is unique and very special – they just needed our help telling the rest of the world! The aim was to create an elegant and stylish brand identity that retains the warm and welcoming mood of the venue, which will helps you to attract more of the professional couples from across Kent and towards London that Hayne Houe love to work with.
The Hayne House customer
Hayne House couples are stylish people who have a strong visual aesthetic, and want to celebrate their wedding in a way which is unique and meaningful to them. They’re planning an intimate wedding day surrounded by the people who matter most to them in the world, and they want to celebrate in style with the highest quality food, drink and service. Not for them are cookie-cutter wedding venues; they love Hayne House for the homely atmosphere, ability to dress the venue to suit their style and the sense of exclusivity that you get from having access to the whole venue. Given that style is so important to them, they’re looking for a beautiful venue for those gorgeous photo opportunities, but want more than that – they value the care, passion and accommodating nature of Hayne House.
The season personality
The seasons which best represent Hayne Barn House are Summer and Autumn. Summer personalities are graceful, elegant and stylish. Obsessed with quality, they pay attention to every last little detail on their quest for perfection and are dedicated to make sure they work to the highest standard possible. They loathe anything cheap or tacky.
Summer alone could feel a bit too aloof and pretentious to authentically represent HayneHouse, and so Autumn brings a sense of passion, pride and homeliness to the brand. Autumn personalities are warm, friendly and welcoming. They thrive on individuality and love to do things their own way. Heritage is very important to Autumn personalities, who are often fascinated by the past. Introducing Autumn design styles will help us create an established (and therefore trustworthy) feel, and add warmth and personality to the brand.
The new brand feels established, elegant and grown up. We love the H monogram with its rambling, organic furls and beautiful vintage-inspired detailing. The main typography is a traditional high contrast serif which feels solid, trustworthy and sophisticated. Pairing this with a modern san serif keeps the overall feel contemporary and stylish. Isn't it just beautiful?
Unsurprisingly, we’ve taken heavy influence from the venue itself. We were completely inspired by a stunning tapestry in the bridal room which embodies everything about Hayne House to absolute perfection: it’s delicately illustrated details, the muted colours, the vintage styling and the elegant shapes are just gorgeous.
We’ve paired beautiful, traditional serifs along with flowing hand lettered scripts for elegance. Hand illustrations add warmth and character, and the sense that someone has taken the time and care to create something unique gives an unbeatable level of warmth and familiarity that keeps things a little more relaxed. The overall feel is understated, elegant and stylish.
The colour palette is sophisticated, muted and grown up. A rich, inky blue is strong, trustworthy and established. A gentle sea-mist is serene, elegant and delicate. Sage green is restorative, balanced and abundant, and the influence of an old English rose inspired pink adds romance, femininity and grace.
