A story I think you'll recognise...

We've been buried in all sorts of projects over the Summer, and with a few of those now safely tucked away, I'm back with some fresh content for you. Starting with a story that'll probably sound fairly familiar...

I recently visited a local farm shop, who’d approached us for help with their brand identity. They’ve grown rapidly over the last four years – accelerated further by the pandemic, which has driven ever-more customers to shop locally – and they’ve become conscious that their current identity doesn’t do them justice… and worse than that, it was getting in the way.

It was a great meeting; I’m a customer myself, so getting a peek behind the scenes was really interesting (I’m inherently nosey!), and brilliant to see the full scope of what they do. I had no idea that they had a beautiful event space, or that everything sold in the shop is made in the impressively kitted out adjacent kitchens, or that the honey on the shelves is made by their own bees. And therein lies the problem; as a customer, I had no idea about these things.

Would I be more likely to buy if I knew the provenance behind their produce? Definitely!

Is this hurting their business? Absolutely.

If a business isn’t communicating a clear and complete message, it misses out on opportunities to sell more. It restricts the chances of growth. It makes marketing so much harder.

Sometimes – often, actually – the investment made in branding is not one that simply makes your business *look* beautiful. The investment puts your business in a different league.

Imagine how much easier it’d be to fulfil the potential of your business if you were able to clearly and consistently communicate what it is that you do. How much *less* hard you’d have to work to promote your business. How much faster you could get from where you are now, to where you want to be.

It doesn’t have to be a struggle.

Over the course of this year so far, we’ve worked with some amazing businesses who we’ve helped to reimagine their identities. Elevated with rich storytelling and sharp attention to detail, these are businesses run by brilliant people just like you and I.

Beneath, you'll find their brands and stories. I hope you'll also find a little inspiration amongst it all.
