On rising when we lift others

I spoke to a potential client yesterday - a very lovely chap, who had, as most do, spent a good amount of time looking around our site before getting in touch. We were chatting about how we might be able to work together, and what it is that he’s looking to achieve for his business. ‘What we’re really looking to do is elevate. It looks like you’re really good at helping your clients to achieve that’. I gave that quite a bit of thought. Certainly, I’d hope that the direct result of our work with any client is their ability to walk taller, feel more confident and attract more attention. And along the way, we’re always generous with our knowledge and will share anything we can that’ll help the people we work with to grow. We never think twice about recommending people they might like to work with, and frequently make introductions within our network if there’s the opportunity to do so.

I believe it’s immensely important to support small businesses in any way we can. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I can do to help our clients to be heard, and become better known by more people. I’d really love it if you knew more about the awesome businesses we work with, because all of them, without exception, are utterly brilliant and run by hard working people just like you and I. Some are really tiny micro businesses whilst others are larger, but they are all small businesses with big hearts, and they are definitely worth knowing.

We’re not a huge business ourselves by any stretch, but we have a respectable following which means that our voice carries a little bit of weight. I’ve decided to use that to help those around us, because if we can help others to grow - well, we definitely should. Instagram is where we like to hang out the most, and that’s where you’ll find us championing some of the brands we love. Most will be clients of ours, others will simply be small businesses, like ours and yours, who we just think are really cool. Perhaps I’ll introduce you to someone you’d love to buy from or work with? You never know.

It’s a simple concept - one small business lending their voice to others - yet so very important. Join in on Instagram - we’re @dittocreative and you can see all the businesses I’ve shared so far in ‘Brands we Love’ on my story highlights. Enjoy!
